Steve McMillan, a 30-year-old from Round Rock,
Texas was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiform,
a very aggressive form of brain cancer. Steve
and wife, Angie are parents to three year old
daughter, Shelby and one year old son, Cole.
The foundation made a donation to this benefit
account to assist the family since Steve is
unable to work and the medical bills are piling
up.

Sunshine Cottage teaches children with moderate
to profound hearing loss how to communicate
naturally and effectively with intelligible
speech and pleasant-sounding voices, without the
use of sign language. Students and their
families receive an outstanding education and
strong emotional support throughout their
Sunshine Cottage experience. Doors are always
open to every child with hearing loss who can
benefit from their program. Tuition grants and
scholarships are available for those families
who qualify and The Clark Watts Foundation
contribute to this educational opportunity for
deaf children in memory of Clark Watts.

A family of five from Llano County lost
everything but a pet dog and the clothes on
their backs on November 13, 2003 when a fire
claimed their home. A fund for donations and
assistance was set up for Lance and Carol Reid,
along with children Gail, Lillian and Blake by
Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church. The Clark
Watts Foundation responded with a monetary
donation to assist the Reid family in finding
shelter, clothing, and tools for Mr. Reid’s work
as a carpenter.
Kiara Marshall

Kiara Marshall of Georgetown, Texas lost her leg
in a tragic Fourth of July accident. Kiara is a
ten-year-old fifth grader at Pickett Elementary
School. She was watching fireworks with her
family near the town of Troy in Bell County when
a driver struck the Marshall family van and
pinned young Kiara between the two vehicles.
The Clark Watts Foundation has provided
financial assistance to the fund to assist in
paying down the huge debts incurred from the
multiple surgeries and long hospital stay that
Kiara endured.

Kade Hall passed away January 4, 2004 after a
long bout of bone marrow transplant
complications. Kade was 15 years old and the
son of Ms. Jaye Hall. Kade had a very rare
blood disease called Paroxysmal Nocturnal
Hemoglobinuria or PNH. Kade was hospitalized at
the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
His mother was forced to leave her employment to
be at his side daily. She resided in a hotel
near the hospital for several months. Medical
expenses, hotel expenses, funeral expenses and
no income have left enormous bills to be paid.
The Clark Watts Foundation presented a donation
to the “Caring for Kade” fund to help defray
these expenses.
Beverly Sellman

Beverly Sellman, a 19-year-old from Mart, Texas
was seriously injured in a 4-wheeler accident on
November 2004, and has been in a coma ever
since. Beverly’s mother was forced to quit her
job to stay at her daughter’s bedside. The Clark
Watts Foundation responded with a monetary
donation to assist the family in their time of
need.

Crusaders for Education supports Round Rock
Christian Academy, a private institution with
emphasis on academic excellence and the
preservation of fundamental values. The Clark
Watts Foundation contributed to Crusaders for
Education by being a sponsor of their silent auction and
dinner fundraiser.
